Please read this very carefully - Attendance to this event is strictly limited to ONLY experienced teachers with proven student learning gains.
Who may attend the TeacherFAIR?
Experienced teachers, legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Participants must be prepared to discuss proven learning gains of their students when interviewed by the participating principals. You must demonstrate eligibility for Florida Teacher Certification. (For more information on state certification requirements visit www.fldoe.org.) You are encouraged to bring a copy of your state of Florida teaching certificate (or Statement of Eligibility).
If you are an experienced teacher but new to Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS), and have not yet applied and completed a profile in the District’s eRecruiting system, you must do so in advance of the event (complete your eRecruiting profile- click here) This is an attendance requirement.
What do I bring?
Bring multiple copies of your resume and a copy of your state of Florida teaching certificate or Statement of Eligibility.
What are the hours?
8:30am - 1:00 pm (Please plan on arriving no later than 12:15pm.)
Is there a fee for attendees?

I don't have a teaching certificate or statement of eligibility. Should I attend?
No. Attendance at the TeacherFAIR is restricted. If you are not an experienced teacher, regretfully this event is not for you. Please visit www.jobs.dadeschools.net for other potential employment opportunities.
Do you sponsor teachers on H1-B Visas?
No. Only experienced teachers who are legally authorized to work in the Unites States without sponsorship are encouraged to attend.
Will the principals post their vacancies?
Yes. Vacancies are posted here - https://teacherfair.dadeschools.net/PSchools2.asp and only principals who have openings will attend the event to conduct interviews and select the applicants best suited to fill their vacancies.
What are the participating schools?
Click here. No additional schools will be added, however, some schools may be removed from the event if they fill their positions prior to the TeacherFAIR.
Will there be interviews?
Yes. The purpose of the TeacherFAIR is to interview and select teachers for all remaining instructional openings at the specific participating schools: https://teacherfair.dadeschools.net/PSchools2.asp. TeacherFAIR is for highly qualified experienced teachers with proven student learning gains. Active M-DCPS teachers selected by principals must be eligible to transfer to a new school location.
Will I be hired?
Those candidates selected by principals to fill their open positions will receive an intent-to-hire document. The actual hire will be contingent upon the candidate fulfilling all the M-DCPS pre-employment requirements (e.g. eRecruiting Candidate Profile, certification, fingerprinting, drug testing, I-9 form)
What is the cost of fingerprinting? Should I bring money with me?
The fingerprinting cost is $71 and must be paid with a money order, however, selected candidates needing to fingerprint will complete this step in the days following the TeacherFAIR. Fingerprinting will not take place at the event.
Should I bring my portfolio?
It would be helpful but not necessary.
What should I wear?
Professional attire is suggested.
How should I prepare for TeacherFAIR?
Online registration (click here) is required. Be sure you completed your online application and profile using the new M-DCPS eRecruiting system (click here) and have submitted your application for certification to the state of Florida Department of Education (DOE). Review the list of participating schools and send your resume to principals in advance. Check the school list frequently as vacancies WILL change.
I am an experienced teacher. Should I attend?
YES - most definitely. This recruitment event is for experienced teachers who will be asked to discuss proven student learning gains in their current or previous teaching position(s).
