Teacher Notice - This is your opportunity to meet the principals from schools that have immediate instructional openings.

We invite you to our MEET THE PRINCIPALS' DAY at the JOB EXPO on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Florida International University (FIU) Kovens Center - FIU North, Biscayne Bay Campus. The recruitment day will begin at 10:00 am - SHARP. PLEASE BE ON TIME. Attendance is limited. If you are not eligible to teach one of the posted subject areas of need this is not the appropriate event for you. Please continue to check our website for future recruiting events.

1. Immediate instructional openings are available. Principals will interview and hire qualified selected candidates on the spot.
   
   
2. Only applicants eligible for one of the posted subject areas and are available for immediate employment should register to attend. Look here for participating principals and subject area needs.
   
   
3. Online registration is required. After we receive your online registration request we will email you confirmation. Please make sure you ARRIVE ON TIME. Doors open promptly at 10:00 am.
   
   
4. Everyone must hold the minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 in their major. This teacher recruitment day is for serious candidates who are already in the District's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or have all application documents ready.

If you are not in ATS please bring the following with you:

• completed instructional application
• social security card
• driver's license
• proof that you are eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
• degreed transcripts (with eligible subject area noted as the MAJOR)
• two completed reference forms or letters from current or previous supervisors.

Again, if you are not currently in the ATS, please be sure to BRING evidence of teacher certification eligibility. If you did not apply for certification yet, the website is www.fldoe.org.

If a principal interviews and selects you, the hiring transaction will take place immediately, following verification of eligibility. That is why it is very important that you bring evidence of teacher certification eligibility with you. Following the hire, you will be sent to complete the fingerprints and drug testing if both are not already on file.
